65.5% on 2nd test 1, 61.6% on 2nd 1, and a 66.1% on 1st test 4. Excellent work girls!! Elise Yancey and On Air made there show
debut here at 1st level. They got some great experience together in the ring and captured the Jr/YR Reserve High score of show

** Good Horseman May Dressage Show- 9's again!! Amber and Janis Barr's Irish Gelding, Castletown Lad, scored a 66.9% in Fourth Level
Test 1 scoring a 9 for the final halt sequence! The pair also had two scores of 61.3% on Saturday at 4th level- unfortunately on Saturday
"Herbie" thought if he did extra flying changes in his test it might impress the judges, luckily Sunday he stuck to doing the test as written!
This was "herbie's" first recognized dressage show, and Amber is very excited that he is going to make a successful FEI horse. The pair had
excellent comments from the judges. Miranda and Grand Eska had a great weekend again!! Scoring a 67% in the Second Level Test 4
qualifier on Sunday. Miranda and "the old lady" hung right with some exceptional horses and talented kids in the 2nd Level classes
maintaining their 2009 median score of 66%. Amber is so proud of this pairs accomplishments, everyone should be so lucky to get to ride
such a great mare in their life! Miranda also schooled her new young horse, Waikiki, who handled the show atmosphere very well. Elise
and "On Air" got off to a rough start on Saturday in the First Level classes but finished up Sunday very well scoring a 62.3% and 64% at
First Level. This pair is still working on getting to know each other in the ring. They are hard at work preparing for Regional
Championships at 1st Level. Our superstar, V-Frolic, had an unfortunate weekend at this show. He just wasn't his usual self and
unfortunately Amber didn't realize that he was feeling bad until we returned home. Frolic's youth and Amber's lack of judgement held the
pair back this weekend but we have high hopes for them in June at Poplar Place.
** Janis Barr and Castletown Lad score a 66.8% at First Level Test 2 at the Poplar Place Schooling Show. Judge Pam Kimble told
Janis it was the "best test of the day"!! Go team!!
** Congratulations to Melanie Pfautz on her lease of the incredible
gelding, JAG Cafe Au Lait. A huge Thank YOu to Kathy Gilker for giving
Melanie this amazing opportunity to ride such an accomplished and
wonderful horse!!
